Empowering Women's Safety

Women's Street Watch Newcastle is a dedicated volunteer group founded in September 2021 following the murders of Sarah Everard and Sabina Nessa. Our mission is to ensure the safety and well-being of women in Newcastle’s night-time economy. With over 23.5K followers across our social media platforms, we've become a vital part of our community's safety network.

What we do

Patrol the Streets

Every Friday and Saturday night from 10 PM to 4 AM, our team patrol Newcastle’s streets, providing support and assistance to those in need.

Comprehensive Support Kits

We carry kits that include fluffy blankets, wet wipes, tampons, first aid supplies, hair ties, flat shoes, power banks, and phone chargers. We also have two wheelchairs with seat belts to safely transport women to the St. John's Safe Haven

Professional Training

Our staff are DBS checked, first aid trained, and vulnerability trained, with in-house training tailored to handle various situations effectively.

Fundraising & Partnerships

In partnership with Bright Futures charity, we launched a Crowdfunder and raised over £6,000 in just four weeks, allowing us to invest in a brand new bus for our operations.
